There are many different faces a singer/guitarist can make while on-stage with his band. Perhaps the most popular look is the “eyes closed, scrunched up face” maneuver. Although he’s only been at it for a few years, Joseph Ferocious of Cymbals Eat Guitars is already a pro at making this famous face. Still, he could stand to gain some advice from a seasoned vet like Hutch Harris of The Thermals (pictured), who not only closes his eyes and scrunches his face at the same time, but also steps away from his microphone to allow for maximum stage movement potential.
