You know something? X’s are a lot more abundant than people assume they are. Take Danish-Honduran drone/field recording artist Xenia Xamanek, who will be releasing her first LP Sitios — eXported via the Dutch label Resonans — under the moniker Equis (which translates to “X” from Spanish).
See? That’s kind of a lot of X’s. But it’s still not all of them. Watch this:
The release eXhibits two lengthy tracks. The first contains a treble-y whine that eXpands across an anXious 18 minutes. The second is pure eXperimental industrial, essentially 11 minutes of machine seX. If you’re eXcited by drones and noisy soundscapes are your eliXir, X marks the spot on April 23.
