Whoa, big announcement! Danny Brown has signed to Warp Records for his new album, his first since 2013’s Old. No information about the release has been revealed yet, but the unfuckwithable Detroit bruiser will be talking with Zane Lowe for his Beats 1 show tomorrow at 1 PM EST.
Says Danny: “With the blessing of my Fools Gold family by my side, I’m excited to be working with Warp on new material. They’re music fans to the same high degree I am and I’m looking forward to breaking some rules together.”
In the meantime, Danny Brown has dropped the album’s first single, “When It Rain.” It’s produced by longtime collaborator Paul White, and it arrives with a video directed by Mimi Cave. CHECK!!
