Some might call us easy (it’s our prerogative, damn it all!). I guess it could be said that when we crush, we crush hard. It’s true, all it took for the dude Devin (not to be confused with Devin THE dude) was a three-song EP entitled You’re Mine until we were scribbling his name in the margins of our notebooks. With a title like that, he was sending us signals, alright. Maybe it was his Iggy Pop-like stage presence and rock swagger that made us go weak in the knees, or perhaps it was his confident nature that made us feel like he was cradling us in the warm folds of his studly motorcycle jacket that really got us. Whatever it was, we couldn’t be more excited that he’s set to release his debut full-length on April 10 via Frenchkiss Records. Entitled Romancing, we’re pretty sure it’s a sign that he’s ready to take our relationship to the next level. Is it hot in here, or is that just Devin’s guitar work?
For the remaining days of February, he’ll be playing a few East Coast shows with Heartless Bastards and then it’s on to London for a tip of the hat to the English people and to The Drums for one show.
