Guys, guess what? I finally got all caught up on Downton Abbey last night! It’s crazy! Oh my God. What a great show, you’ve gotta check it out if you haven’t yet. Wow, wow, wow. The acting is impeccable, the costumes are expertly crafted, and the locations they shoot are just gorgeous. It’s a real visual treat, to say nothing of the intelligent and engrossing story-lines! Do yourself a favor and get into it now, before the new season starts!
Speaking of Downton Abbey, Chicago space-rock/post-punk/experimental noise purveyors Disappears have a new EP called Kone that they’re self-releasing as a 12-inch on April 16. It features, according to its press release, “more than 30 minutes of expertly crafted, intense, post-punk and experimental guitar-driven sounds.” It was recorded at Minbal studios in Chicago and mixed in Dallas by John Congleton. You can check out the title track below (via The Quietus), and you can check out the band live this spring on some tourdates they have planned.
What? If you don’t see the connection, I’m certainly not going to go out of my way to point it out to you…
