I’m sure I don’t need to explain this to TMT’s incomparably highly-educated and generously board-minded legions of followers…but I’ll scrub up my monocle, clear my throat, and do it anyways:
See, UNLIKE those goody-goody Planeteers (of whom there were a messy and ungainly five) and those hoity-toity Wondertwins (of whom there were only two), Ducktails (Matt Mondanile), James Ferraro (uh, James Ferraro), and Typhonian Highlife (Spencer Clark) represent the perfect number of powers-combining-to-make-something-greater-happen: fucking THREE.
Three is the shit. It’s holy in the bible; it’s sacred in Zelda…Three is perfect. (Yeah, I know, sometimes there’s more people in Mondanile’s band…they don’t work for this argument, okay?)
ERGO: the fact that these three worldy sages of vaguely-poppy, electronic/experimental, synth-based music are all putting their power rings together to create “EUROFLEX 2017” — a spring tour across Europe so that feels so easy and pink and blue and warm and blippy and bloopy that I almost wanna dust off and throw out the word “hynagogic” again (but I won’t) — is, without a doubt, the GREATEST POSSIBLE THING that could EVER HAPPEN in the UNIVERSE.
There. Done. I mean—it’s simple logic, really; and I fail to see any other details that could be possibly relevant, let alone contradictory, to that which I’ve just said. (Here’s some relevant video content, though, followed by the poster with those dates again—just so you don’t have to bother scrolling UP at all, the way they make you do on all those other crappy music websites that don’t value your time and intelligence the way THIS ONE does.)
