If you ever have a moment in which you feel that your advancing age is having a preventative effect towards your goals, feelings of youthfulness, sex appeal, etc., then you should probably take a minute and contemplate Dutch punk band The Ex. These dudes have been doing their thing for roughly 30 years and have made over 120 albums, and unlike the current slew of bands celebrating reunions after 20 separation years, The Ex haven’t missed a beat, or a tour, or an opportunity for change. Not only that, they still got the rick in ‘em. So if you feel old age is a cause for apathy, stop making excuses, or just stop being old.
With that said, The Ex are releasing their 123rd album on January 25. The release is titled Catch My Shoe and it will be released by the band via their Ex Records imprint. This’ll be their first record featuring vocalist Arnold de Boer from the one-man project Zea. So, as to expect from The Ex, don’t expect anything. More timely and importantly for us folks stateside, The Ex will be touring through some of the bigger cities come March. If I were you, or if I were myself for that matter, I would catch these guys in action. Cause you never know when they might keel over.
