Y’all ever think about popular phrases? I do, all the time! And, actual historical explanations be damned, I bet you can totally just make them up. Check out some of the cool ones I made just now:
• When the Field Music hangs low, the ox will charge.
• If you put your Field Musics out to pasture, the Field Musics will surely roam.
• Don’t look a Field Music in the eye, lest you want the crow.
Shucks, looks like all my phrases have an awful lot to do with Field Music. Guess I’ve got them on the brain, probably because the Sunderland-based band is going on tour in the fall. The band, who recently turned a pretty serious 180 from their hiatus status by releasing their Measure double-album (TMT Review) on Memphis Industries, will traverse the US East Coast during the last week or so of September and the first few days of October.
Now remember, good tidings are a Field Music in the pocket.
