Last year, FKA twigs released EP2, which consisted of four songs that explored the world of abstracted and deconstructed R&B. Earlier this year, she collaborated with Inc. to release a mysteriously untitled — at least as far as I can tell — 7-inch and zine. Now, according to P4k, FKA twigs has announced her debut album, vaguely and perfectly titled LP1. The album will feature 10 absolutely brand-new songs, and it’ll include artwork by Arca-affiliated Jesse Kanda, who directed videos for “How’s That” (see below) and “Water Me” off EP2.
FKA twigs will be on tour in August, right around the release of LP1 — August 12 via Young Turks.
