Bicoastal. The word conjures images of celebrities jetsetting back and forth between New York and L.A., first class all the way baby, getting served martinis by beautiful and stylish flight attendants (which may or may not just be a half-remembered episode of Mad Men, sorry). Basically, it means you’ve MADE IT. Which is appropriate, then, that L.A.-based boutique music publicity firm Force Field PR is, as previously mentioned, throwing itself 10th-anniversary parties in New York at Baby’s All Right and in Los Angeles, where they’re taking over the Echo AND the Echoplex.
And now we have a lineup confirmation. They’re bringing some old friends, including current and former clients, with different lineups at each party. In NYC, you can catch Lou Barlow, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Blow, Guerilla Toss, “special surprise guests” AND “special guest DJs,” plus Neon Indian between the 1s and 2s. In L.A., you’ll be able to behold the wonders of Lightning Bolt, Wax Idols, Sonny & the Sunsets, Dent May, La Sera, Terry Malts, Frankie Rose, Jimmy Whispers, plus Dublab DJs and DJ Kid Frostbite providing the in-between sets tunes.
