I’m imagining Liquid Swords as an old-school video game — for N64, maybe with a version for Super Game Boy too. There’d be wizards, knights, and elves in underwater castles, and they’d all have to battle the Kraken (because a fire-breathing dragon wouldn’t make sense underwater, obviously).
Let’s be real, though: Liquid Swords is actually the title of the second solo album released by GZA a.k.a. Genius of The Wu-Tang Clan. Get on Down has reissued the album on double vinyl with audio remastered from the original studio tapes. Sure, Get on Down has reissued Liquid Swords on double vinyl before, but did they include a 24x24-inch replica of the album’s original retail poster last time? Well, maybe. I don’t actually know. It’s very possible.
The Liquid Swords reissue will see an October 25 release, just under a month before the reissue of Wu-Tang Clan co-founder Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s solo debut. ‘Tis the season for Wu-Tang, I suppose.
