We all have that male friend who, for whatever reason, always needs to make it known that he MAKES MONEY. For this guy, a closet filled with kicks and a liquor cabinet with top shelf choices are not enough. He just has to keep taking it to the next level by dropping an entire month’s rent at the city’s best restaurants. Given this whole jetsetting lifestyle, it’d make sense to assume that he routinely flies business class to really wile-out. But nope – for that friend, only private planes will do. Upon hearing tales of his latest exploits, you incredulously blurt: “Wait. He arrived by helicopter?”
At least you won’t be alone. C. Gibbs of Lucinda Black Bear shares your disbelief. His new band He Arrived By Helicopter took its name from a conversation Gibbs had with bandmember Tim Kuhl, who remarked that he usually arrived via helicopter to festivals. (We should all be so lucky.) Shake your head if you want, but remember those helicopters usually have a few seats in the back. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
