Hot Chip coming through. On September 7, these guys are busting out the big guns with a brand-new EP We Have Remixes on EMI. The EP includes four remixes of tracks from this year’s One Life Stand, which would be a pretty big letdown if One Life Stand (TMT Review) weren’t so satisfying and these producers weren’t so great (see tracklist — ‘nuff said).
For those who want in on the remixing fun, Hot Chip has created an interactive version of “I Feel Better” for MXP4, the app for those who miss the videogame experience in their iTunes. And for those for whom “MP3 file” still retains a scary undertone, you don’t even have to go out of your comfort zone: Hot Chip have the whole thing featured on their Facebook page. Now you can make your own remix EPs!
As previously reported, Hot Chip are touring with LCD Soundsystem this fall (TMT News), sending wave after wave of “Which band is bigger now?” queries across the country!
