Electro-soul chameleon Jamie Lidell has announced an October 14 release date for his latest album, Building a Beginning, out on Jajulin Records. Reportedly influenced by artists like Marvin Gaye, Temptations, and Stevie Wonder, Lidell seems to be further submersing himself in the funky, melodic R&B of the late 1960s and early 70s.

In support of the album, Lidell will be touring throughout Europe with his backing band, the Royal Pharaohs, in October and November; North American shows will be announced soon. Here are the European dates:
