Jib Kidder is still out paddling around after the wave of January’s Teaspoon To The Ocean (via Domino imprint Weird World Records) and the more recent self-released Covers EP, but with Hurricane season looming, the artist also known as Sean Schuster-Craig has decided to go on tour. Starting next week, Jib Kidder is catching a 10-day swell through the East Coast and Midwest, beginning with a two-day stay in Atlanta and ending in Queens. If you’re wondering about the short notice, maybe wi-fi is pretty weak out in the Atlantic, but Sean still somehow managed to send not only tour dates our way, but also a self-assembled, chronological mix titled Like a Bug (2000-2015).
As indicated by its title, the mix spans the 15-year anamorphic growth that is Jib Kidder. So, do you like Jib Kidder’s IV era, or are you a fan of super old Jib Kidder from his Old Bullshit compilation released during the Steal Guitars period? Or maybe you’re a hoarder of rare and unreleased Jib Kidder materials, like his contribution to Version Tapes Vol. 2 (tapes still available) under the phonetic alias DJ Kid Slizzard?
