Okay, okay, so somehow I TOTALLY SLEPT ON THIS SHIT the first time around… (I thought the whole entire world was talking about some OTHER funky hip-hop mainstay dude named “Kendrick” who had announced an “eight cities in eight nights” tour called “Kunta’s Groove Sessions” after the successful release and reception of To Pimp A Butterfly this spring… silly me!)
But it turns out that’s totally okay! Because, Hallelujah: it’s news all over again! First off, according to the ‘fork, Kendrick (Kendrick LAMAR, I mean) performed a unique show last night with the National Symphony Orchestra at D.C.’s Kennedy Center. Second off, Kendrick has added “more dates” to the tour, including ones in the TOP THREE CITIES THAT MATTER: New York City, Philadelphia, and Cleveland, Ohio. Although, I guess they’re not technically “Kuntas Groove Sessions” shows, because they don’t feature the same lineup of Jay Rock and the Wesley Theory. But that’s not important. What’s important is that I’m reporting the shit out of this shit this time around. So! Exactly how many shows is Kendrick playing in-total now?
