Milwaukee-based rapper/singer/produce Klassik has been releasing a very nice series of EPs based on the seasons. He’s got winter and spring covered, with summer out right now as we speak. Yes, it’s not summer yet, but if you wanna be on the cutting edge, you gotta stay one season ahead.
Klassik, you know, he’s opened for Kendrick Lamar, Talib Kweli, Ludacris, he’s won a couple area awards, and he’s been noted as an artist “to watch.” Klassik’s ear for melody falls somewhere in the lineage of Robert Glasper, and his vocal parts are diverse and playful in the vein of Mos Def. He’s pretty undeniably talented and surely just at the start of a good career, so why don’t you check out the fella’s material?? The SUMMER EP features production from himself, Vincent VanGREAT, and fellow Milwaukeeans Group of the Altos, as well as a feature from B~Free.
