After totally impressing a much wider audience than he was used to with his highly lauded book Between the World and Me, Te Nehisi Coates has seen a number of doors open to him, including interviewing Barack Obama and dusting off the Marvel character Black Panther for a new series of the comic at what just might be the most relevant possible time.
In preparation for the 10th installment of Coates’s Black Panther comic, there’s a trailer doing the rounds with a soundtrack penned by none other than Lil B, who, while he hasn’t interviewed Obama, has certainly written a mixtape in his honor before (which, let’s be honest, is pretty much the same thing).
…And thus completes the Obama, Coates, Lil B Based Trinity. (By which I mean — check out both the new Black Panther trailer and a slice of Lil B’s Obama-homage-a-rama down below!)
