Leave it to our friends at Commend to come through in the clutch with some nice news: an inspired live collaboration between Miho Hatori (Cibo Matto) and Dave Harrington (Darkside) will be released TODAY (April 12)!
Mondialité captures the December 1, 2017 live improv performance of pansophic whizzes Miho Hatori (Cibo Matto) and Dave Harrington (Darkside) at RVNG’s “gravitational center” Commend. This “Commend Here” release will be available in a super-limited edition of 35 hand-numbered cassettes TODAY and can be grabbed here. Get ‘em before they’re gone.
Following the release of Félicia Atkinson and Christina Vantzou’s cool collab Folded Galaxy, Mondialité is the second “Commend Here” release and is an improv jam inspired by Martinique novelist and theorist Edouard Glissant’s influential vision of “globalisation into globality,” which is an ongoing influence on Hatori’s music.
