Robert Turman, noise pioneer and former NON member, came back to experimenting with music not too long ago with ties to Aaron Dilloway and Cleveland label, Mistake By The Lake. After Turman’s recent heart surgery, Mistake By The Lake released a benefit compilation on Bandcamp called For Robert, which was setup to help raise funds for Turman. Artists on the comp include Jason Lescalleet, Aaron Dilloway, Rust Worship, Skin Graft, and more.
A news update on Turman’s site states that the surgery, which took place February 22, was successful, and Turman should now be at home recovering. And, in addition to the comp, there is a 25% discount when purchasing Turman’s entire catalog digitally on his Bandcamp page. Musician and label head Andrew Kirrschner shared the following message on the Bandcamp page:
Robert Turman is an inspiration to us all, be it in music or life. This comp is to benefit him as he had to have heart surgery (which went well!) and will be laid up from work for quite some time. Every cent from this goes directly to him. Please share this album to help Robert get thru this tough time.
