Here in North America, the days quietly shorten and rust. It’s (unofficially) autumn, and Phil Elverum is a restless bird on the move; scattering as he arcs over the land the intensely personal — and yet, publicly arresting — artifacts of his recent emotional/musicological excavation.
Before taking flight for Poland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and more this November, however, Elverum’s Mount Eerie simulacrum alights to perform TONIGHT (September 20) in Toronto. Check out the complete list of all the autumnal dates down below, and if you’re geographically able, experience for yourself what TMT’s Live Blog struggled to describe only yesterday as a uniquely powerful strain of “public intimacy.”
