TUSK Festival’s 4th edition dates and early line-up have just been announced. The festival will take place between October 10 and 12, in the Star & Shadow Cinema in Newcastle. As usual, the festival will include live music, movies, art installations, workshops, and exhibitions.
To stoke our expectations through the summer, the festival has also shared the first bands in their line-up: the US avant-jazz trio Borbetomagus, Japan’s legendary abrasive-noise multimedia project Hijokaidan, Swiss improv maestro Norbert Möslang and the Irish harpist Áine O’Dwyer. These are not necessarily the headlining acts, but an international batch of artists tangentially connected by their will to experiment beyond stylistic conventions — and their ability to fit so many vowels in their names.
Keep an eye on TUSK Festival’s website for new confirmations; if past editions are any indication, this year’s line-up is sure to fill out with very interesting names. Get your weekend passes here.
