It may have only been two months since Ramona Gonzalez dropped the fourth album from her acid-washed, neon-soaked, 808-and-heartbreak’d project Nite Jewel, Real High, but — not one to miss out on this incredible summer weather — she’s already back in action with one entire bevy of PR-department-approved shenanigans just for our enjoyment.
Up first is the surprise-release of a Nite Jewel B-sides album called Real Low, which, beyond its deft adherence to the endearing naming conventions of B-sides collections, also “features ten tracks of demos, alternate versions, and previously unheard material.” Even better: it already hit digital shelves way, way back on July 5 via Gloriette Records…which means you can get it right here, right now! Yes, now! It’s also a Bandcamp exclusive, which means someone’s finally catching up to those fat cats over at Tidal.
Next on the docket is Gonzalez’ new self-directed music video for Real Low cut “How It Was,” which is very viewable down below. Lemme tell you: if you love superimposed images, this thing is going to be like Citizen Kane for you.
Last but not least (and only “last” because it fits the traditional structure of music news stories): Nite Jewel is heading out on tour in support of Real High (yes, again)! The trek will take her across the U.S. and Europe for literal months, but you better scoop those tickets up quick because shit starts going down TO-DAY.
