NON Worldwide co-founder Chino Amobi has a few albums under his belt already, but upcoming LP minor matter will be the politically-minded artist’s first vinyl release. Coming out on The Vinyl Factory, the work is part of the label’s collaborative vinyl series with the SHAPE-affiliated CTM festival, dubbed Fear Anger Love. No release date has been announced yet.
minor matter is the musical counterpart to choreographer Ligia Lewis’s performance piece of the same name, one that “deftly articulates an argument for minoritarian politics.” Most of the seven songs on the album have been previously unheard, and “Hard Stacatto” features another NON member: Brooklyn singer-songwriter Embaci. The release will be limited to 300 copies only.
