Red Bull Sound Select announces concert series “30 Days in L.A.,” the maximum amount of time they were willing to spend in L.A.

The “artist development program” Red Bull Sound Select has just announced a month-long concert series featuring 60 artists with shows at 30 venues across Los Angeles. The events will take place everyday throughout the month of November, and then everyone’s getting the hell out of L.A., because, Jesus, can you guys breathe here? I honestly feel like I can’t breathe as well here. I mean, seriously, the sky is not supposed to be those colors. Ever.

Ahem, as I was saying, the artists participating cover a range of different genres and include Real Estate, Run the Jewels, Courtney Barnett, Chance the Rapper, Kurt Vile and the Violators, A$AP Mob, The Julie Ruin, Tree, Future Islands, and Tink, among others. The lineups were apparently “curated by leading music influencers from across the country.” Of course, they probably won’t be able to attend, as their status will allow them to avoid city’s arterials clogged with Teslas and stretch Hummers. Am I right?

I mean, anyway, each show will be catered to fit their venues, such as the opening Cut Copy block party and the Wax on Wax vinyl DJ night at Madame Tussauds. Check out the full calendar here. On that page they also have a search bar where you can type any artist or genre and get recommendations on which shows to attend, though honestly I don’t know how hard it’s really trying because when I typed in The Gerogerigegege it recommended Real Estate. Admittedly I do like Real Estate and would love to see them live, but I don’t see how they could make that correlation with the little info I gave them. Typical L.A. bullshit if you ask me. Don’t let the city change you, Red Bull Sound Select. Don’t let it change you.
