Relapse Records forgot to celebrate 20th anniversary, is now celebrating 21st anniversary

Relapse Records, the label that has brought you goodies from Mastodon, Neurosis, Dying Fetus, Anal Cunt, High On Fire, Coalesce, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and many other savages, is turning 21 and can now enjoy drinking at a legitimate bar. In honor of this blessed cursed event, the label — founded by Matthew Jacobson in 1990 — has launched both a brand new website and web store and is offering a different selected album from their discography for 21¢ each day for 21 days. Plus, all Relapse CDs will be 50% off November 4 - December 2 (this offer excludes 2011 releases, sorry).

In his official statement, Jacobson announced, “I’m proud Relapse Records has been pushing the limits of extreme music for 21 years, and with a roster full of dynamic and forward thinking artists, I’m equally excited about the future. We wanted to show our appreciation for our fans over these last 21 years by offering great deals on our newly launched Relapse.com.”

At this time, we’re already on day 8, so head over for your discounted copy of pure mayhem and be sure to watch the label’s Facebook and Twitter accounts to get updates on deals. Enjoy it while it lasts, because turning 22 is depressing, like in that Flaming Lips song.
