Sure is some nice free will you got there, buddy. Sure would be a shame if someone were to… take it from you…
UK producer Rian Treanor is done playing around and releasing really good singles on reputable labels like The Death Of Rave and Warp’s Arcola. Because he’s now going to be releasing a full-length album, due on also-reputable label Planet Mu. True to its title — which translates to “the loss of full control of bodily movements” — the album will begin taking over your bodily functions on the upcoming ides of March
Watch out there, Caesar! There’s someone right behind you! Oh look, it’s Rian, and he’s equipped with a dagger-like new single called “ATAXIA D1” that will contort your body in all kinds of unimaginable ways with its multirhythmic pad patterns.
But before he lets you utter any last words, he wants to tell you about this album: “My earlier EPs… were more improvised, focusing on sequencing and pattern modulation, using standard drum sounds and synthesiser patches. ATAXIA is more focused and stricter, in terms of the track selection and the rhythmic structures.” I hope you remember all that once you become his puppet.
Not that you have any say in the matter, but go ahead and click play on that first single down below. Then go ahead and pre-order the full album, just like a real boy! You always said you wanted to dance to weird electronic music all day. You should be more careful what you wish for…
