Australian label Room40, run by inimitable TMT favorite Lawrence English, is about to reissue a very special album via it’s A Guide To Saints imprint. What English himself calls “one of [his] favorite eerie ambient works,” Lived In is the cult classic tape from Pacific Northwesterner Gabriel Celestino Higgins. “Completely remastered” by English himself at Negative Space, the new edition of this sacred opus of melodious drones will come out March 1.
Originally released in 2012, Lived In crystalized some of the ideas Higgins got under way on his debut album Protector’s Tape, kick-starting a career defined by studious exploration of bottomless textures and subtle harmonies. Still, if your middle name was Celestino, how could you *not* devote your life to making gorgeously fine-spun, Elysian ambient music?
