Everyone’s favourite bass wizard Stephen Bruner (better known as Thundercat) proved why he was everyone’s favourite bass wizard in 2017 with his album Drunk polling on pretty much everyone’s top releases list. The TMT “Top Releases” list passed on Drunk though, because being both a music website and a soothsaying website, we knew the best was yet to come.
Being the future gazers that we are, we can now confirm that the valhalla we were waiting for is here and now; because Thundercat has just announced the release of Drank: a chopped and screwed, purple make-over of Drunk. Re-worked and re-imagined by OG Ron C and DJ Candlestick of The Chopstars, the slowed-down version is available on streaming services now.
