Sick of your IRL job and want to own a successful YouTube channel? Have gear ideas that could take your music project or film production business to the next level? Know what “vlogging” means?? If so, then boy do we have a contest for you! Actually, LG does, and starting from now until September 25, the company is taking applications for an event it’s sponsoring called UltraWide Festival 2015: Dream Setup. When all is said and done, three lucky tech-enthusiasts will receive a $10k sponsorship and LG’s forthcoming UltraWide Curved Monitor.
Applying’s pretty easy too. All you have to do is (1) share via social media a video or photo of your current gear setup (whether it’s to make music, edit films, or anything else that shows your current hardware), and then (2) head to UltraWide Festival’s site and link the social media URL to a description of your DREAM SETUP, one that would take your current rig and transform it into a well-oiled, highly productive, art-creating beast.
From there, LG will send its UltraWide Curved Monitor to 30 semi-finalists, who will be asked to produce a YouTube video on how they would incorporate the monitor in their dream setup. Famous YouTube vloggers Linus Sebastian (LinusTechTips), Lewis Hilsenteger (Unbox Therapy), and Jahova (Jahova Witniss) will then select three lucky winners, who will receive a hilariously oversized $10,000 check (note: check size unconfirmed) toward the items described in their initial dream setup, as well as mentoring and advice from the vloggers themselves. And if that weren’t enough, it’ll all be followed up with a live setup launch and a party.
