Dominic Fernow a.k.a. Vatican Shadow is about to make some noise again (silly pun intended). The insanely-prolific musician (also operating under several other aliases, most famously as Prurient) and Hospital Productions founder is releasing a special tape edition of Vatican Shadow’s excellent latest EP, Media in the Service of Terror. A limited run of only 125, the cassette comes with a “full color recreated newspaper booklet house in box package,” which, as TMT reported back in June, is basically a 100-page mini newspaper. A pre-order of the whole thing is available here.
Fernow has also made a “Media in the Service of Terror” book (!). Its official launch is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27, at Mast Books in Manhattan. Artist Matt Kenny wrote on his Instagram that he’ll be reading “poems about terrorism,” and a DJ set by Becka Diamond will also take place. Finally, in August, Fernow is going to take his politically-charged techno project across the pond for live performances in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Barcelona. Dates are below.
Vatican Shadow tour dates:
08.06.16 - Amsterdam, NL - Warehouse Elementenstraat
08.13.16 - Berlin, DE - Berghain (Ostgut Ton birthday party)
08.24.16 - Barcelona, ES - DNIT Caixaforum
