Better watch where you’re planting your feet when you’re poppin’-and-lockin’ this holiday season, kids: Silk Road Assassins — the ruthless production team consisting of Tom E. Vercetti, Lovedr0id, Chemist — have returned from the shadows to announce their debut full-length for Planet Mu.
Following their 2016 debut EP Reflection Spaces, the new album State of Ruin is a light, crisp, and deep sonic pummeling that explores “how trap and grime’s minimalist form can be built and curved into musical architecture: elegant, opaque and layered, turning the sound into lush melodic world-building.” The fourteen-track affair also features contributions from Planet Mu mainstays like Kuedo and WWWINGS.
