Let’s all make a promise not to burn to death. Are you with me, everybody? I hope so, because if even one of you backs out, I am going to be so mad. But you’ll be dead and I’ll be here fuming over your fuming, so I guess the joke’s on me. I don’t even know why I make promises with you, because I don’t trust you. The War on Drugs and Sharon Van Etten trust each other. That’s why they’ve made a pact not to burn to death, at least not within the next six months. While they’re busy not being on fire, they’re also going to be busy touring with each other come next March. And a tiny little bit of April. Tiny means one day in this case.
The War on Drugs will be spending some of their not-on-fire time before their not-on-fire tour with Sharon Van Etten by touring with Sub Pop signees Still Corners. Chances are, War on Drugs will be playing songs from Slave Ambient, their well-received new record. Further chances suggest that Still Corners will also not be on fire. Please, nobody be on fire.
