Lisbon’s thrilling electronic dance scene is about to reach a whole new audience. Complementing the good work that Príncipe Discos already does at spreading the Afro-Portuguese sound that’s coursing through Lisbon’s suburbs and projects, Warp Records is set to release a new EP called Cargaa 1. The five-track 12-inch features cream-of-the-crop purveyors of this aggressive, transnational sound, including DJ Nigga Fox (who is releasing a new EP this month), DJ Ly-COox (from the Tia Maria Produções crew), production crew Blacksea Não Maya, lesser-known artist DJ Nedwyt Fox, and central figure DJ Marfox.
