Film and vinyl aficionados, untie!
No, seriously. Un-tie your shoes and take a load off, because you might want to be sitting down for the news that… Waxwork Records has just announced the fruitful details of their 2020 subscription offer, which is sure to also seduce those who dig well-designed alternative album art.
2020 is the fifth year that they’re offering a subscription service, and for this edition, $200 gets you vinyl versions of the scores for the following films: Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer, Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Part II: The Secret Of The Ooze, Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, and Jacob’s Ladder. Plus you get an array of merch (ranging from a shirt to an LP tote bag), and perhaps most importantly, a 10% discount on all items throughout the upcoming year. Think of the film scores!
Check out the full details of the 2020 subscription here. And if you’re not familiar with Waxwork, simply check out their vinyl offerings to get a sense of their MO. The album art’s gotta be a significant draw, but some of the actual scores aren’t half-bad either! At least, according to my recollection…
Anyway, since you’re sitting down, here’s a relevant trailer and YouTube clip:
