At this point, Massive Attack are pretty much the Willy Wonka of electronic music, constantly passing out treats and dazzling people with their fancy light show and its “ever changing array of images and slogans pertaining to the world’s current events.” (Kids LOVE current events!) One such treat is the forthcoming release of the group’s Atlas Air EP on Virgin Records. Slated for a November 22 release, the new EP will be available digitally and as a limited-edition 12-inch. Atlas Air features remixes of two tracks from the duo’s most recent full-length, Heligoland (TMT Review), and benefits refugee charity organization War Child, Massive Attack’s charity of choice. The group is currently on tour in the United States.
