Like Mike? You say. Nah—more like Like Scottie — specifically that other genius of the ’90s Chicago Bulls, Scottie Pippen.
Such is the premise of the new video by YBN Cordae for his new track, “Scotty Pippen.” While Cordae needs a bewitched Jersey to be the best at B-ball, he needs no such mystical help in order to be an excellent rapper, and the track makes for a tantalizing first taste of YBN’s upcoming group mixtape, with Cordae switching fluidly between several flows in just over two and a half minutes.
The YBN Mixtape is due for release on September 7 and will feature contributions from the whole YBN crew in addition to Cordae. Watch “Scotty Pippen” down below and stay tuned; the rest of YBN Cordae’s starting lineup is coming soon.
