Lookin’ luxe and tastin’ plush, Charli XCX returns on Friday with a new mixtape. Made in collaboration with A. G. Cook (some random dude with glasses), the Number 1 Angel tape features collaborations with MØ, Cupcakke, RAYE, Starrah, Uffie, and ABRA, as well as production from the likes of Danny L. Harle, SOPHIE, and John Hill.
The mixtape was made during a period of frustration with and annoyance at her current label, which will be releasing her long-awaited party-centric third album sometime in May. Awkward!
Speaking of awkward (jk, this segue makes no sense), Charli recently shared three new tracks from the 10-song mixtape on MistaJam’s BBC Radio 1: “Pull Up” (ft. MØ), “Dreamer” (ft. Raye and Starrah), and “Lipgloss” (ft. CupcakKe). Listen to ‘em below, and look for Number 1 Angel on Friday, March 10 via Charli’s own Vroom Vroom Recordings.
