Veteran Philly noisenik punks Pissed Jeans are coming out with another record; Why Love Now will be released February 24 via Sub Pop. The four-piece have also dropped the album’s first single, a sludgy behemoth-of-a-banger titled “The Bar Is Low.”
Consistently fronted by vocalist Matt Korvette, Pissed Jeans have been noted for their wry sense of humor, providing commentary on the absurdities of everyday life in America to a brew of noise, punk, and hard rock. Why Love Now is the fifth studio album in the 13-year career of the group. It was produced by No Wave legend Lydia Lunch and metal luminary Arthur Rizk (Eternal Champion, Goat Semen).
