Shoegaze revivalist Jack Tatum released his third album, Life of Pause, as Wild Nothing in February. Tatum spent the following months touring North America and Europe, and he has now announced plans to tour North America again starting in mid October.
Once a college bedroom project, Wild Nothing’s 2010 shimmering debut Gemini might never have seen daylight without some persuasion on the part of Captured Tracks. Since then, Tatum has become an expertly executing multi instrumentalist. Life of Pause features some of his most complex songs yet, treading into new instrumental territory and grappling with some darker sounds than in his previous work.
Last month, Wild Nothing played two shows at the Fonda in LA. Carson Daly’s team recorded one of the sets. Videos for “To Know You” and “Adore” are live on NBC now.
