Blondes announce new album Warmth, share new track "KDM," really DO have more fun

I’m not gonna pull any punches here. I fucking HATE working out, readers. H-A-T-E, HATE it. And yet…I’ve always really loved getting all hot and sweaty! I mean, I just love that glowy, swimmy, glisteny, panting feeling of “having just FINISHED working out.” You know what I mean???

It had to happen, didn’t it? With all of the reunion albums, tours, and retroactively canonizing listicles, we were bound to hit what could be the lowest point in the revival of the original shoegaze bands. Welcome, everybody, to 2017, where the album release dates are made up and traditional marketing doesn’t matter! Ahead of the official release of Laurel Halo’s third LP Dust on Friday, Hyperdub has made the entire album available for streaming on their Soundcloud page. RIP: Prodigy of Mobb Deep

RIP: Prodigy of Mobb Deep

From Billboard:

Prodigy, one-half of the legendary ’90s rap group Mobb Deep, died Tuesday (June 20) at age 42. The prolific MC was hospitalized in Las Vegas several days ago due to complications caused by his sickle cell anemia.

Known for his rugged rap scheme, Prodigy flourished in the ’90s alongside Havoc as the famed duo Mobb Deep. With hits like “Quiet Storm” and “Shook Ones,” they became synonymous with East Coast rap.

Spots

1. Spots y Escupitajo is Elysia Crampton’s third LP.

2. Seven “Spots” of only a few seconds lead side A, with one more at the beginning of side B. The opening flurry feels something like keying down a list of samples in a DAW toolbar.

Anxiety is asking over and over again. There’s a release to the expression, but for how long? Repetition transcends that apparatus of memory. A stampede of mental anguish, but like waking up and sunshine? Lamp post. Is it morning, or? These days are uncivilized and back-and-forth. Carry me with you, at least. An arm on my shoulder, over your shoulder; hitch a ride.
