I knew it! I knew there was something up. I could feel it in my waters when I woke up this morning. At first, I thought it was the seven Wild Cherry Pepsis I shotgunned before bed (I like the dreams they yield, is all!). But no, this was something more. Some wind-whiff of excitement coming from the west. The west of Canada. The west of British Columbia. In a town that, as fate would have it, was once known as Gastown. But I digress…
♫♪ Mount Eerie with Julie Doiron - “Belief pt. 2”
Ahead of their joint album Lost Wisdom pt. 2, Mount Eerie and Julie Doiron are sharing another single, the harmonically-rich “Belief pt. 2.” It’s described by Phil Elverum as a “night song.” Of the fulfilled night? I have no words.

Graham Lambkin, Joe McPhee, Charlie McPhee, & Oliver Lambkin announce party retrospective on Black Truffle
Drunken behavior is frequently the precursor to sober embarrassment, so why not plan a night in where you can remotely witness a party with all of your faculties in tact? That actually sounds awful, now that I think about it, but maybe the dynamic between Joe McPhee, Charlie McPhee, Graham Lambkin, and Oliver Lambkin inspires something different than a Joker-esque feeling of social exclusion.

♫♪ Dasychira - “Swirl (ft. Malibu)”
When I was a teenager, my life was a delicate balance of ecstasy and terror. I felt that I was capable of everything and nothing. “Swirl” is kind of like that. Elegant strings compete with, or reply to, sibilant chirps of noise. Proud, contemplative languor, punctuated by moments of fury and doubt.

Traxman announces new trax via Moveltraxx, shares new track featuring DJ Deeon
Mmmmmm. Hankering for some trax? Just hold on — you’re about a week away from eating good. Veteran footwork producer Traxman and London imprint Moveltraxx have three trax in the chamber, slated for release on October 25.
The Keep Dancing EP follows the Teklife affiliate’s Tekvision Vol. 2 bundle, which revisited Traxman’s roots in the ghetto house scene of the early 90s, turning Steve Poindexter’s seminal “Work Dat Mutha Fucka” into a wonky footwork flip.
Maybe we’ve said too much, though.
